Men's Shadow Work Group

Welcome to the T.O.T.EM.S Men's Shadow Work Group
This is a support group where men can come together outside of the normal stereotypical environments that men normally gather at and be themselves without judgement, the group encourages building goals and values that include:

*Empowerment through trust and integrity

*Confidential sharing of experiences

*Genuine emotional support

*Personal development

*Self awareness

Here at T.O.T.E.M'S we aim to walk with each man and help to provided them with support in the psychological areas of their lives and build the resources right for them, this may include:
  • Encouragement  of maintaining physical and self care
  • Maintaining a balanced mental health
  • Psychoeducation
  • Relationships - Family & Friends
  • Addictive behaviors
  • Responsibilities
  • Self identification 
  • Self esteem
  • Trust & hope
  • Spirituality

Here is how a support evening looks and how it is approuched: 

 

  • A logistics session – We discuss any practical issues that men may have to share.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Smudge Circle – A ritual that helps men centre themselves and focus on the purpose of the night.

  •  

  • Round 1 – The Check In Round. Here men check in with how they are feeling and what a recent low point and high point has been for them.

  • Round 2 – The Integrity Round. Are there any integrity issues you need to address?

  • Round 3 – The Work Round. Here is the opportunity for a man to discuss any issue to help him become a better man. No topic is taboo.

  • Round 4 – The Check Out Round. Here men check out for the night feeling supported and respected by the men he shared the last few hours with.

  •  

  • Round 5 – This round is reserved for those involved in the T.O.T.E.M.S Brotherhood Esoteric Temple. The work we do in this round is largely Jungian,Shamanic and  symbolic.

  • ​

  • We encourage men to join the T.O.T.E.M.S Men's support group before applying for membership of the T.O.T.E.M.S Esoteric Temple.
